HIFU treatment does not involve injections. It works by delivering highly focused ultrasound energy through the topmost layer of the skin, and delivers just the right amount of ultrasound energy at controlled, selected depths, at the right temperature. The HIFU machine delivers little focused dots of energy into the deeper layer of skin. Each focused dot heats the skin tissue to 60-70°C.
